Tactful is power and to have power you need wealth.
Power is the ability to control or influence. Authority is the power given to one to be able to control or influence.
As a instructor,l I have the ability to control or influence a child in my classroom; but that authority is granted me through the local school board, administrative personnel, and parents.
Persons who serve at the behest of the American people have the ability to control or influence the citizens of the United States; but, the Head of the United States has the authority to say “no”.
