@bioangel339 no sure. But seeing objective as some sort of cosmic value is also useless, or atleast in this setting. 90% of the people like cola, therefor you are able to say ‘this is excellent’. Just like with Bach or sugar. That it is not objective for the rest of the universe doesn’t really matter, they aren’t able to like or dislike something. But in a absolute way sure, nothing can be objectively excellent.
I don’t reckon anything can be objectively excellent, but you can have the margin of people reckon something is excellent. Like abstract art, I reckon it’s crap, but the margin of people reckon its art.
The total Holocaust part was why Gary Shandling treated Ricky so terribly during their meeting. Some people don’t really have a sense of humor about the Holocaust, even tho I found this bit hilarious.
