I can’t believe more voting people don’t understand your point. And now the government behaving in the very same way as the uneducated in irresponsible people who first began accumulating this massive debt. it wasn’t a free market that failed us, it was gov. intervention on a free market.

  • someperson111 says:

Stop spending all your afternoons listening to Rush and maybe you might come back to THIS planet. We ALL know they are turning it down for political reasons. They are trying to show they are ideologically “pure”. Sadly their constituents will pay the blunt of this political ploy.

  • carlritchie says:

Before any of you guys blame Bush or Obama, remember that it started under Clintons administration, when banks were forced to give loans to people who couldn’tafford to pay their mortgages.

  • carlritchie says:

it is going to petty projects and into the hands of politicians and rich CEOs. Sorry to bust your bubble guys but the Democrats are having trouble with AIG and the bailout, how can they control the large investment bill.

  • Lover180backflip says:

Political philosophies of both the democratic, and republican parties are being debated, tediously in my opinion.

One thing is clear, “Inaction is a weapon of mass destruction”. Time to put the politics aside, suck it up, and except that we’re in a rut Anything that is proposed is better than inaction. Bickering across party lines over philosophical differences in approach to this problem of economic recession is counter productive, as it inspires fear and uncertainty in the markets.

  • stephen8907 says:

we are screwed, obama is ruining the economy even worse, he has no clue what he’s doing..

  • spiritlakechamp says:

  • keys2themachine says:

Typical Obama voter.. making a simple black and white point with you is like Arguing with a sony, apple or microsoft fanboy.. carry on.

  • EmperorKagato says:

Again. You prove that you lack comprehension.

  • keys2themachine says:

I don’t think your understanding my post, the whole argument I’m trying to say here is that everybody and their brother criticized bush to no end about not fixing ALL of New Orleans. and now obama has done the same and all you and other people like you can do is say .. well this and that and make excuses… hold him just as accountable as people did bush and all is well.. oh wait.. we can’t do that because this is the messiah. Stop with your double standard

No time for politics! WE have to pass earmarks now.

The House is expected to pass earmark bill worth an additional $410 billion after the stimulus.

  • BrezhnevIsMyCoPilot says:

People might be misled into equating “deficit” with “debt” by this kind of talk, but he was referring to Fiscal Year 2009, which includes a $1.3 trillion deficit inherited from the last months of the Bush administration (Oct.-Jan.).

I don’t think anyone could realistically decrease the national debt significantly without raising taxes or cutting spending by a large degree, either of which would have the likely result of punishment at the polls.

  • dagnemrth says:

Obama really don’t have much to lose by promising a miracle, his entire campaign was based on miracles, one more couldn’t hurt any more than it already will. Even if all the debts are internal, it will be a tall order to halve it with these spending, let alone external debts to countries that isn’t even American allies.

Obama is going to need to kiss a lot of peope’s behinds if he is to make this happen, bye bye superpower status.

  • seanf4i says:

Did anybody hear him talk tonight about cutting the national deficit in half by the end of his first term? From what Ive been able to find on this, he was referring to the deficit as of today -after his first month of spending. If you cut it in half today, it will still be greater than it was when he took office. I mean, greater than his inheritance.

  • seanf4i says:

Hilarious! I love the analogy. Only instead of pushing lolly pops, he handed out a fist full of victim mentality.

  • EmperorKagato says:

State funding is in the Bill as well as funding to FEMA.

I understand that you’re upset and letting emotions easily sway your opinions. I understand that you’re becoming restless and impatient and expect change to happen over night.

The fact is that you never really listened or comprehend Obama’s plans before he took office.

  • seanf4i says:

Not true. Youre getting your information from the politicians. What they dont tell you about is the additional future monies committed to new programs and policies within this bill (now a law), and the additional money which will be spent on it’s interest. It really is 1.3 trillion. The sad truth is that I do know what he meant. And it isnt what hes pedaling. Havent you heard about all the governors who are considering turning this money down? Doesnt that seam odd to you at all?

  • keys2themachine says:

are you kidding me? his whole “yes we can” said he would fix in New Orleans what BUSH the “white devil” didn’t.. and yet not a FUCKING PENNY of the new stimulus package is going to that shitty ass poverty stricken waste hole of an area. The areas that needed to get fixed are fixed UNDER BUSH. the rest was log forgotten by you so called MESSIAH otherwise known as “obama”

  • rebouel says:

    Really?

    Basis?

    Nope.

  • rebouel says:

    I agree.

  • EmperorKagato says:

I think you’re terrified because he’s actually getting things done.

  • Slavestorms says:

We decided to have an election for a class president

Candidates were nominated by other class members

    Both candidates were good kids

The day arrived when they made their speeches Jamie went first. He ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. She said, “If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.”

    The class went wild

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream, and the people reacted like nine year olds
