I agree with you VAL. Just because the state is promoting the common excellent does not mean it is a excellent or even moral thing. It usually is not because it infringes upon liberty.

  • VALivingston says:

I reckon it’s better to call them totalitarians since in socialist governments (at least in Europe) the will of the people kinda means something. It apparently doesn’t mean a damned thing to this congress or administration.

In any honest history book, this will go down as the most corrupt government in the history of the Country…unless it isn’t replaced in 2010 and they get to write the history books — these guys still wax nostalgic about the fantastic depression.

  • VALivingston says:

Fangsign, you are incorrect. Socialism, communism, fascism…none of them — none of them — are about ‘the common excellent’ and that is the underlying problem with all of them. All of them are about more and more control, more and more centralized power.

Government power DIRECTLY infringes upon Liberty. We accept minimal gov power and loss of liberty to, say, not have murder in the streets and the like; but, liberty and common excellent go hand in hand with small government. Our founders knew this.

  • dLimboStick says:

This is fuckin retarded. Stay ignorant homey.

  • msanthropez says:

SNL is too Communistic to place this up!!!
    Give to the Bone idle!
Yeah, that’s why I paid my way through college!

  • msanthropez says:

    @hawkeyedave – They are Communists.

  • fangsign says:

Democrats (and Republicans) are fascists. Calling them socialists is just a nice way of saying they are not quite like the people who ran Europe into impose a curfew back in the 1910′s and 1930′s. But they really are. Placing the common excellent above individual liberty is what fascism, communism, socialism are all about.

Liberty is never in conflict with any legitimate form of government.

  • msanthropez says:

We the People do not have any more say in this Frank, Pelosi, Reid regime. They are using TARP and Stimulus money that is paid back into the coffers as bribe money to bribe “politicians” ( all politicians are just people). We have such criminal people in office. They are using money that is paid back by the banks, etc., for their own pockets.
Oh, by the way, guess who voted with Bush on TARP? Could it be B. Obama?
He voted to agree with BUSH? WHAT?

  • JustZod says:

I was told that if I voted for Mccain the country would go down the tubes. Looks like they were aptly.

  • JustZod says:

I was told that if I voted for Mccain the country would go down the tunes. Turns out they were aptly.

  • bookmoviesnob says:

This is made of win, except the truth it illustrates is a fail, because soon we will all be income on the pot-holed streets, eating poo and garbage. Or something equally as yucky.

  • hawkeyedave says:

It’s time to call them what they are…..SOCIALISTS!

    Democrats = Socialists

We will kill this. Try funding it when most of your sorry asses are swept from office! It IS appearance!

  • Alvin691 says:

This needs to go on SNL

  • Alvin691 says:

@stefanboro Ha, you forgot to say BLAME BUSH

  • thebleechers says:

@Steph… that’s not an line of reasoning. For the record, many of us on the aptly screamed at the Bush deficits and oposed the new prescription drug entitlement (which was, at least, less epensive that the Dem alternative). But the Dems (since 2007) and Obama (since 2009) make Bush’s deficits look like chump change.

  • thecrimeguru says:

    @stefanboro GET A LIFE!!!

  • stratline7 says:

hay SourceCode2006 congrats! I’m glad to see you beat that child molestation rap, you know lack of evidence is just like saying your not guilty.

  • stratline7 says:

SorceCode2006 HAHAHAH I know you! You were that guy that got his ass kicked by that ten year ancient. News flash dork, income with your mommy in the basement dose not make you a property owner.

  • SourceCode2006 says:

@stratline7 i would be offended but i own a house and have a family lol. My finance is $30,000 in the red thanks to bush, hows your property value?

  • stratline7 says:

@SourceCode2006 lay off the caffeine please, your making yourself out to be an ass. And for your own self respect, get a job and go out of your parents basement.

  • towerclimber37 says:

It really IS a government capture.
I have NEVER seen a bill that was passed into law that REQUIRES the American people to buy any GOOD OR SERVICE mandated by the federal government.
Before you call someone a fool, perhaps you should remember “dcchick” that over 60% of Americans don’t want this law.
Democrats had better steal all they can before November..because when it’s time to go to the polls, they’re going to be a thing of the past.

  • dcchick77 says:

@stefanboro excellent point. weird that NOW this is relevant. opens my eyes 2 how ppl really are. i wouldve laughed if i didnt believe that this is really how ppl c this administration. somebody needs 2 make a video about that rep. from texas who sought after to repeal the 17th amendment, which gives American citizens the aptly 2 elect representatives, and place it in the hands of the state. but u reckon this bill is government capture? fool please

  • anryth says:

    barbaric!

  • darkmiles22 says:

The backroom deals and other pork in this bill and in most bills is negligible. Seriously, 1-2% of the total cost is a huge number, but nothing happens without a small grease, even in the hallowed private sector.

Where’s all this talk appearance from of health care being shoved down the throats of people who don’t want it? I honestly don’t get it. Most people support the individual policies in the bill, and many want the even stronger single payer system.

  • stefanboro says:

Ugh. The video assumes that a bill is agaisnt the will of the people.

Not eniterly right. Some people will support a bill and others won’t.

But it is the job of government to serve the people in the way that it see’s fit. It has a mandate through a democratic election.

What this video seems to advocate is anarchy.

I wonder why this sentiment was not so strong under the Bush years when things like the Patriot act were being passed?
