the fix is in and the neo-cons will prove it– neo cons not republicans. Palin huge israel supporter– the fix is in.
Im a conservative and I reckon the role is is more media sensationalism. Genderand race should not matter and shouldnt be an issue.
The best person for the job is all that should matter.
I’ll let libs pledge the question for themselves.
For conservatives, we try very hard to achieve equivalence, meaning we reckon the way to combat racism and prejudice is to promote equality, color-blindness, and gender-neutrality. This is why conservatives are against Affirmative Proceedings. We see AA as a program that fights racism with racism, and is thus flawed on principle. There are no shortcuts to eliminating racism other than to work against it in all of its forms. The fact that AA causes racists to tend to vote Republican is maddening to all of us right Republicans (Lincoln Republicans) who really do want a color-blind society.
Gender and race play no role, except insofar as prejudices give the pretense of such a role. As a bumper sticker I saw recently stated, “Feminism is the radical thought that women are people.”
Well, at the far aptly farthest, Sarah Palin is a mother of 5 and governor of the state, but she believes mothers should stay home and take care of their families.
