@unim88 “designed by evolution” is an idiom of speech used to shortcut an description of the mechanics of evolution by anthropomorphizing it. It’s not typically evidence of a belief that evolution works in any specific direction.

I agree with all the points in the video, especially the parts on talking an mind-set of discussion for many issues instead of seeking to take a stance
But, evolution is not end oriented. It has no goal and it thus cannot design something for a specific function…that is not evolution at all…evolution is a process that happens, without an end goal
@Scythemantis The insult hurling at every perceived differernce needs to end. If it keeps racheting up like it has been the country will implode. I reckon you nailed though, that nobody seems to want to get along. It requires hard work and discipline to get results but it can be done and must be done if we are to survive. The bottom line is everybody should have a seat at the table.
Aptly, and at the other end of the spectrum of liberals far more liberal than me who would treat me like shit for it. It’s a shame that this video, which is arguing for respect between different viewpoints, appears to be getting flamed and trolled. People don’t even want to get along.

I hear what you are saying about blog sites, but less face it, the day after day kos and others are doing the same thing to christians. It is going to take a really, really huge effort to go toward civility and dialog.

Of course there are gay, non-Christian conservatives. They just can’t tell most other conservatives that they’re gay or non-Christian or they’re going to be despised. Look at the leading concentrations of conservatism on the internet, like freerepublic; they are OPENLY hateful. They revel in it, joke about it and encourage it amongst one another.
@Scythemantis Poll after poll show the margin of people stay on the conservative view on society. Are you gay and an atheist? There are many conservatives that are gay and choose a religion other than christianity. Progressives like you despise traditional America and want to change it, just like your leader, Obummer.
What in the world did you even just say? Your grammar is perplexing to stay on, but are you seriously claiming that someone like me only wants laws that cater to my OWN beliefs? I don’t want laws catering to anyone’s personal beliefs. Laws should be based only on what is logical and just for everybody. If they could, many Conservatives would make it a crime for people to be gay, atheist or speak foreign languages, because they personally don’t like persons things.

@Scythemantis You gave 3 examples and they are all fake. Nothing you said is being done or pursued. Laws are in place in for all that you mentioned and it people like you who don’t like, know or want them. For you, laws are only excellent if they cater to your beliefs.
I’ve always had an enormous amount of animosity towards conservative values, but watching this helps me know where they’re appearance from, and was by and large one of the only intelligent, honest and neutral discussions I’ve ever seen on the difference between what we perceive as the two major mindsets. It occurs to me now that when it comes to government and economy, I’m more conservative myself. I’m only liberal socially.
So conservatives aren’t sticking their noses in everybody’s affair when they want to ban lifestyles that don’t harm them and force the government to determine what’s best for a mother? Conservatives aren’t telling everyone what’s best for them when they say that Christianity is the only right path and all other belief systems are destructive and evil?
Conservatives are the ones who want to run everybody else’s life by their narrow definitions of aptly and incorrect.
It’s very simple-minded to reckon that being “open” translates to superior societal movement, and being frightened of change translates to being an obstructionist of movement. The greatest movement really happens in a conservative framework. Utopian experiments keep society back.
Went to Applebees one time and despised it. Conservatives are close minded and hold society back, Liberals are open minded but can let the incorrect thoughts flurish, both have their set backs.

We need to split the country and let the liberals continue on with their Utopian Fantasy. Trying to get two opposites to live together in the same country when one side despises and demonizes the other so vehemently, as seen in this video, is frightening for the side that is being demonized.
Liberals use the same kind of demonization and dehumanization as the Nazis did on Jews. Sardonically, it’s frequently done by Jews to White Christians as seen here.

Liberals do NOT reckon anyone’s incapable of bettering themselves. Welfare systems are meant to be a safety net, not a lifestyle. I know dozens and dozens of people who used welfare programs at some point in their life, and it helped them until they became self-sufficient. I do not know anyone who used them for life. There are abuses, no skepticism. The proper response to abuse of a system is improvement of the system, not abolition of the system.

The liberal agenda is not to tell minorities that they can’t make it on their own. Like Ted says near the end of this video, it’s about the truth. Liberals know the truth is that there is institutionalized disadvantages that minorities face, and liberals believe that to institutionalize counters to that disadvantage is? helpful to defeat it.
we need more people like this who knows human inside out and can bridge the gap between worlds, im sorry that there is nearly no chrstians with this thinking.
