Richard Dawkins: An atheist’s call to arms

Instead, hе launched іntο a full-οn fascinate fοr atheists tο mаkе public thеіr beliefs аnd tο aggressively fight thе spread οf religion іntο politics аnd education (quoting Douglas Adams іn thе bargain). Scientists аnd intellectuals hold very different beliefs аbουt God frοm thе American public, hе ѕауѕ, уеt thеу аrе intimidated bу thе bу аnd large political environment. Dawkins’ scornful tone drew strongly mixed reactions frοm thе audience; ѕοmе stood аnd applauded hіѕ courage. Others wondered whether hіѕ loud аррrοасh сουld dο more harm thаn ехсеllеnt. Dawkins wеnt οn tο publish Thе God Delusion аnd become perhaps thе world’s best-known atheist.
Nothing infuriates me more than the time excellent scientists have to waste away from their excellent work, to refute these christian fundamentalist extremists. Stephen Hawking said it best, “knowledge will win over religion because it works”.

When you predicate truth arbitrarily, you can conclude the arbitrary. I and, I imagine, everyone else certainly don’t like Nazi truth, but we all just better get used to it according to your line of reasoning – because Hitler’s ghost will judge us all?
@pandstar evolution fails knowledge. dinosaurs needs 2 times the oxygen to live. an 80 foot brontosaurs had the same size nostrils as a horse. Pterodactyls could not glide with out a thicker ambiance. bubbles in sap have been found with 2 times the air pressure and oxygen. do the math. it is obvious you are out to lunch, and have not done your home work.

@freesalvation7 Well, that’s an awkward view for you to take. Are you unaware that much, if not all, of the Christian faith is, in fact and with your own term, a counterfeit of many pagan religions and pre-unfilled myths?
@Ticky21 The imaginary gods are a counterfeit of the right and income God. Men always counterfeit that which is right and genuine. Some counterfeit 100 dollar bills because of the worth of a 100 dollar bill, men don’t counterfeit gum wrappers. No one will stand before imaginary gods, they will stand before the Income God and give account of all their wicked lawbreaking. Sin will be punished with fire eternally.

As far fetched as this might sound, I find this fitting as society, even still today, pressures the atheist and attacks him based on his belief (or, in this case, lack thereof). This is a call to not be worried and fake a belief in a God that is not real.

Los ateos no le echamos la culpa a ningun Dios de nada (porque no creemos), ni somos enemigos de ningun Dios, sino del fundamentalismo religioso que hace que las personas discriminen y cometan crimenes de odio justificando dichos actos en nombre de sus creencias.

@realkontschi But Austria was part of Germany during the war, so if we talk about Germany during that time, we must reffer also to a different Germany to the one we know now in days (territory, people, ideals, etc.).

I believe the problem (as to the electorate vote) is a symptom of the group’s beliefs. Every other group has a belief in some sort of corporeal figure, and leaders to bridge the gap between people and that figure. These leaders give groups power through essentially by scheming the mob’s opinion. Atheists, but, are categorized more by their lack of beliefs. No figureheads exists and as a result the voting power is not restricted by the few which is looked-for for numbers to have power.
To stay on Richard don’t be content until you know which way he went. The Bible tells us where Richard is going because of wicked sin. “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13: 41,42

@Licenciada I believe in God but I am really suspicious of people who say that they talk to God…like George Bush…supposedly a Christian head…Now the US is at War…Many people use God to do the worst things in his name…that does not mean God is terrible…it is us human beings who are doing all this evil in the world.. Even if there are some people doing evil things in the name of God there are excellent people doing things in the name of God too…Generalizing is incorrect with anyone!
