Why should the Federal government have the ability to preside over issues like abortion and same-sex rights?

Abortion, Same-Sex Wedding ceremony, Thе Death Penalty, Education, etc. ѕhουld аll bе іn thе hands οf thе states! Whу ѕhουld thе government bе аblе tο mаkе decisions οn thеѕе issues, point οn point. Whο′s saying ουr Federal Government hаѕ thе best judgment? Lеt thе people сhοοѕе οn thеѕе issues іn thеіr respect states, аnd mаkе state struggle. Whу dο wе tolerate thе government іn ουr lives, іn social issues such аѕ thеѕе?
Dοеѕ nοt thе tenth amendment state thаt аll rights nοt mentioned іn thе Constitution belong exclusively tο thе states οr thе people?

I reckon its horrible that our federal Govt trys to stick its hands in everything.

Yes it does. That is one reason I Like Ron Paul. He does not vote for anything not expressly mentioned in the Constition, because as a legislator on the Federal level it is not his place to. WoW. Dr. No . I like it that one man really Abides by the Constition. For over 20 yrs too. His voting record is easily researched. I like that even if he personally does not reckon same sex wedding ceremony is ok, he voted No on A Federal Same Sex Wedding ceremony Ban because its not the federal govts job to mark out that. Thats integrity.

Democrats are just as responsible as Republicans for the Mess that our government has become. They both bear equal blame as do the people who vote on asinine things like name recognition.
Calvin Republicans are no longer the party of Small Government. They have aquired a like of throwing money at things to fix them. Which is what republicans used to say about democrats. Somewhere along the line people who were social conservatives but Huge Govt liberals enterd therepublican party claiming to be conservatives when in fact they are just conservatives socially. The standard word for these people are Neo Cons. Read “Where The Aptly Went Incorrect” by Patrick J Buchanan to read more about the beginings of the Neo Con movement and how they hijacked the Republican Party. The Party of “Small Government”

The Founding Fathers never intended the government to get involved in personal health check decisions or family decisions. The aptly wing of the Republican party and the Religious Aptly have undone much of the greatness that America once had.

Because they are the federal govt. Without them we would be a land of 50 separate countries and liable at war with one another like in Bosnia Iraq or Africa.

The federal government has authority over any federal issue.

It is not “Same Sex Mariage”, it’s individual sexual orientation, which is protected under the Constitution (a Federal issue).

It’s not “Death Penalty” it’s protection from cruel and unusual punishment (a Federal aptly).

    and so on.

I do NOT support gay wedding ceremony. I DO support the death penalty.

My views are not material, it is the Federal governmsnt’s job to address them and determine law.

  • Calvin T says:

Abortion could be considered murder, and the death penalty could be applied to federal prisoners so they should have a say in that

otherwise your aptly the federal government should stay out of the other issues
like same-sex wedding ceremony that should be a state aptly because i dont believe the federal gov. gives wedding ceremony licenses

and ii above me is crazy the “aptly wing” is against the growth of the federal government and all for states rights i mean come on why do you reckon libretarians are considered “far aptly”

No, human rights have nothing to do with states. The function of the government is to care for our rights….and when the states try to violate this, I’m glad the federal government steps in to place them in their place…….if only we had a way to place the federal government back in their place.

  • old-bald-one says:

The constitution was written to care for all the people in all the states. Not some of the people in a few of the states. All the things you have sighted have been constitutional issues that the supreme court has resolute. If you disagree with the constitution work to change it. Why do we tolerate the government in our lives. In social issues such as these ? Isn’t that what the K.K.K. said when the government ordered blacks into all white schools. One nation , one government , one constitution . And one supreme court to rule on the bill of rights and the constitution.
