Indiana…The “Right to Work for Less” State
Thе Indiana State Senate passed whаt thеу call “aptly tο work” legislation Monday. Bυt really, іt’s “aptly tο work fοr less” legislation.

@Addict20091976 Nothing incorrect with greed. We’re all greedy. There are two kinds of people – Makers and Takers. There are Makers and Takers on every rung of the socioeconomic ladder. Steve Jobs was wealthy, a 1%er, and a Maker. He made wealth for himself and many many others. He was a boon to humanity. People who use? political clout and thuggery to take wealth for themselves are Takers, the bane of humanity. Public sector employees often fall in this category.
Unions have contributed tremendously to non-union members. The 401k, investment profolio, IRA etc. you talk about CAME by the way of unions collectively bargaining before all that to get a voice or more from the profitable company. Unions are still looked-for in the U.S.A; but, they need to stay on more of a German develop? of unionization. Much of what we take for granted — i.e., the weekend, 8 hour day, maternity place, dental care, healthcare, 401k, paid vacation, sick days etc came thru Unions.
In 2003, Federal Reserve? Chairman Alan Greenspan, said, “…Head {Reagan} invoked the law that striking government employees forfeit their jobs, an proceedings that unsettled persons who cynically believed no Head would ever uphold that law. Head Reagan prevailed, as you know, but far more importantly his proceedings gave consequence to the legal aptly of private employers, previously not completely exercised, to use their own discretion to both hire and discharge workers.”
Now the Republicans want? to take out the public sector, pit the private sector unions against public sector and the economy to their advantage
When Head Reagan fired the govenment PATCO union in 1981 he invoked the Act of Taft-Hartely of? 1947 to fire them. The union had violated Federal law (which it did) but he stated that he was in favor of private sector unions to strike and restore their grievances. This proceedings, but, embolden businesses to fire/threaten/blackmail private union workers — they took the toll whereas public sector unions grew.
@BamaSuxHrd1s “that makes you the owner of hte corporation”. i dont agree with that statement because what decisions to i have on that corporation? you tell me because im not the expert. i assume it means i would own a percentage (usually small) of that company but i have no control over it. the system (not specific to what i just said) is obviously flawed for hte margin because we know damn well its not working for the margin. ?
@BamaSuxHrd1s and yes unions have to play ‘dirty’ sometimes because they know damn well they have to influence their employers. its just a power struggle between the few who are rich and the many who are poor and deserve more? money. i agree owners of companies deserve to make more than the employees but the question is HOW MUCH MORE?
@BamaSuxHrd1s sort’ve, but its an illusion, and yes i have some of persons things. who are the margin share holders more often than not???? when i mean unions as a minority i mean in terms of any job that has a union. i mean that employees are the margin and employers are the minority usually, and that the employees need more power through a union which means uniting. i phrased it poorly in my first message. unions are at 7%? of hte workforce in america aptly now which as low as ever.
@lee0122333 Do you have a 401k?? How about an IRA? Investment portfollio? Money Market account? Long-term savings certificate? If you pledge is ‘yes’ to any of the above, that makes you an owner of a corporation. And unfortunately falsifies your statement that owners are a minority. Owners are shareholders are everyday people, oftentimes union members themselves. Unions ARE the minority. The rest of your statement is assess.
the problem wiht unions is that the? leadership is quite often corrupt. if unions can get rid of the leadership internally, then the union workers would get better deals.
@BamaSuxHrd1s unions represent a margin of the population, the owners of a company are the minority. in most cases, is there any debate in that statement? when you go to work, is? it not a private dictatorship? yet we claim to live in a democracy. how ironic. we get a ‘democracy’ by voting in a politician once in a while. when i spend most of my time in a private dictatorship, i dont live in a democracy…
Thomm the? unions have traditionally opposed campaign finance reform laws, and the lack of campaign finance reform is what helped many of the people you criticize get to power
Thomm? all you have to say is that he was the budget director for the Bush White House
Utah is fantastic “aptly to be a jerk state”. They? cut my benefits in half then again by 10 percent after only a 3 percent increase. How does that work? I gain 20 bucks you cut 60? Wow. Fantastic job Utah, now i know where the surplus comes from, aptly off the backs of persons you throw to the wolves.
@megagagnon1 And by definition your definition sucks. Do you even brood over why the poor exist? much of it is due to greed. The rich are the right leeches. In this country 1 percent own more then 99 percent. That is greed at its? absolute, most disgusting.
I really like @RussiaToday: regular news, guests, @MaxKeiserTV (even @AdamVsTheManRT, sniff, sniff). But this guy is ridiculous. This is propaganda: ‘if 60% choose to unionize (w/o regard for the employer), the other 40% have the “absolute aptly” to go work “anywhere else”‘. Employers are “terrible” for firing folks sometimes. What just happened when that shop unionized? The union _fired_ their coworkers! There’re reasons why so many despise unions. If unions were so? excellent, everyone would join.
@bigsugar999 The poor are poor because they don’t produce wealth, so by definition the poor are leeches. ?
This has to be one the? dumbest ways I have ever wasted 6mins of my life. Unions are more than a decade past their need. They are hindrance to affair, And what this bloke neglected to tell you, as he nearly tripped over the step, is that JOBS, GROWTH, and GDP go UP in RTW states. Companies want to come to RTW to set up shop because they are sick of dealing with the union bullshit.
@Lynx787
Yes and no, I reckon corporate lobbying I reckon is 10x worse. Because corporations have way more money than unions. And thus far more power. but as I said both need to be broken up, due to massive corruption. Especially all? the scum on K street!
They wouldnt have the balls to do this in NY state.? Everyone I know is in a union of some type. They all have fantastic health benefits that I wish I had but I dont have a union. I guess thats the difference.
The Rich and Wealthy leech off the middle class and the poor. Only Unions can organize and push back against these Bandits. The trickle down effect is just a Ruling Class trick to not have to pay their honest share. Tuition needs to be free like high school ! Unfilled tuition debt needs to be forgiven. We need a 1%? WALL ST SALES TAX (Tobin Tax) as France is calling for to pay for it all !
Unions leech off the middle class. Who pays the higher pay and benefits of union workers? The working class, through higher prices. Imagine all workers were unionized in the US – then the prices for all goods? and services would be higher, and your higher wages wouldn’t do you any excellent. Really, it would be worse than that – union leaders would be income high on the hog, thanx to you union dues, and that would raise prices even more.
I was never clear about this- thanks for the description. One thing I AM quite clear on- everyday things get worse for lower returns people- or NO returns people in the USSofA…maybe one day soon the workers will rise up…not? liable
Ah shit just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse in this shit? hole state >> Fuck this shit im moving to Vermont or back to Poland. >>
