NEW RULES*(1) A Constitutional amendment requiring all legislation passed by the House of Representatives or Senate shall, in the bill's text, quote the Section, Paragraph, Clause, or Amendment to the United States Constitution, whiich authorizes such legislation. Any legislation of questionable Constitutionality, as determined by a two fifths vote of either House shall be presented to the Supreme Court for determination prior to becomming law. H.R. 1359 Would be a good start."Enumerated Powers Act - Requires each Act of Congress to contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act. Declares that failure to comply with this requirement shall give rise to a point of order in either chamber of Congress. " 3/6/2007 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, and in addition to the Committee on Rules, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned. I wonder how long the cowards will keep this one buried? (2) Afffirmative action hiring of Veterans for all federal employment. All federal employment shall be offered to the most qualified Veteran within the pool of applicants. (3) Tax Relief for Veterans. All Veterans who have served during a time or war, or National Guardsmen and Reservists who have served more than six months active duty deployment during a time of war, shall be completely exempt from the payment of federal individual taxes, in whatever form they take, in the present or the future. (4) Service to the Veteran shall be the highest priority to this nation, behind the national defense. Failure of a federal employee, assigned to such task, to provide immediate and fullest service to a Veteran in regards to medical or other legislated benefits shall be grounds for dismissal from employment. |
