I just want to know why people blame the government for the private sector losing jobs and/or the private sector not creating new jobs. I assume there are no jobs because there is a recession (people aren’t buying stuff) and firms are shedding jobs. So what does the government have to do with people not buying stuff and demand going down? Correct me if my assumption is wrong. How is it the government’s fault and not strictly a private sector issue? Is the government just a whipping boy in this case?
