Why do liberals preach tolerance and freedom of speech, but then try to stifle anybody who does not agree with them? They often get very caustic with those who don’t agree with them and they think that is OK. However, if you disagree with them, it is not politically correct. Personally, I think they are the ones who are politically incorrect more often than any other group.
Some examples of liberals trying to stifle free speech. Liberal congress trying to figure out a way to stifle conservative talk radio, which the public obviously wants more than liberal talk radio. College campuses allowing ultra-left wing speakers but cancelling even moderately conservative speakers appearances. Enacting hate crime laws that have target conservative viewpoints and definitely allowing hate speech by liberals toward conservatives. Some of the activities that happen here on YA. That is simply the beginning of the list. Many, but not all, of those liberals who preach tolerance are, in my opinion, the most intolerant people on the face of the earth.
LOL, I give examples and the liberals all disappear.
Comparing Jerry Falwell and Reverend Wright!!!!

Please. I disagreed with Jerry Falwell on many things and did not want to be associated with him or his movement, but I never heard him condemn America.

Reverend Wright’s words were hate speech and simply serve to prove part of my thesis. A conservative could never get away with condemning black america in the way that Wright did with whites.

One side is hate speech (the conservative) and should be stifled. The other is freedom of speech (liberal) and should be allowed.
You misunderstood. I am willing to consider Falwell as a conservative and Wright as a liberal. In fact again you are actually reinforcing my point. Just as many liberal would disown the viewpoints of Wright, likewise whether you believe it or not many conservatives such as me would not want to be associated with much of what Falwell said or how he operated. But you, not me, did try to compare them. If I go with that I see that Obama called Wright his spiritual mentor and attended his church and was involved in his teaching for 20 years. That does carry some weight. I would be willing to accept that if a conservative politician had called Jerry Falwell his spiritual mentor and was involved with his church and teaching for 20 years that I would at least partially hold that politician responsible for the viewpoints that Falwell promulgated. I still stand by what I see as a double standard, which is reinforced when you compare these two figures.
