MSNBCs Chris Matthews followed the media herd down the path of misinformation and bias favoring Republicans and the conservative right in covering the recent Massachusetts special election for the Senate seat vacated by Ted Kennedy. Proof of anti-liberal bias is found easily in the media coverage. Compare how many times Massachusetts was referred to as a progressive, blue, liberal state and then try to find a reference to any of Massachusetts recently elected GOP governors. Anyone ever heard of Mitt Romney?… Governor of Massachusetts and Republican candidate for president. If Massachusetts is the bluest of blue states, then how did they have a string of 4 consecutive Republican governors (Weld, Cellucci, Swift and Romney)? Is it too much to ask of our media to drop the deceptions and put political news in the proper context?
