(Say, he takes the test 1st period and his friend takes it 7th period, and there’s lunch in-between, and they’re allowed to eat across the street at the cafe). He claims this violates his 1st amendment free speech rights. I think the school has every right to make this rule, but I don’t have a specific answer about the legal basis for the prohibition.

Question 2: My son hates swimming. Kids who are Muslim don’t have to swim because the classes are coed. They do another activity. My son would rather do another activity, but he has to swim. He says this is religious discrimination against him; because he is not Muslim, he is forced to swim. Again, I can’t think of an answer for him.

He’s a smart kid. I hope someone can help me answer his questions!

I was just wondering, are my political questions, or the answers I have read to others, being answered by the preteens? I just read answers to “What is the average age on this website?” and many contended that they thought it was 12. I am 17, but I plan to be a public policy major so when I am curious about something politically I like people with slightly more education than a 9th grader to answer my questions. Maybe just tell me how old you are, or tell me what you think the average age is for the people that answer questions in Politics & Government.
