We won! This video from CBS shows a part of the Couric video that didn’t air on TV. It shows Biden first, getting the same questions as Palin and handling them just fine; then Palin comes on and can’t even name a Supreme Court decision she disagrees(or name a decision at all) In June 2008 the Supreme Court made a decision that adversely affected all citizens of Alaska directly when they cut the Exxon-Valdez settlement to 500 million from 2.5 billion. Four months ago! This woman has a 1 in 5 chance of becoming President if McCain gets elected. :( Vote Obama!

But the thing was, his speech was terribly inappropriate and insinuated sex? Thanks for any help

I am not sure if this is the proper answer to this question as I don’t believe it effected free speech.
UPDATE- The bill of rights only extended its protections against laws passed by congress. The fourteenth amendment was what extended these protections to state governments, & even then only certain aspects of certain amendments.
Their WAS a supreme court case that resulted in the incorporation of 1st amendment free speach & free press.

I can only contribute 2500 dollars to a candidate……whereas the CEO of company X, no longer has a limit to their contribution.

So if this is about protecting “free speech”…then why aren’t I being protected here ?

So, in effect she advocate suppression of free speech. Why would Obama nominate someone to the Supreme Court who believes in violating our right to free speech and is this laying the ground work for changing the First Amendment?
